Upcoming events

April 21: Regular meeting
6:45 - 8 pm
Make sure to bring binder and New Venture homework (write a story about yourself doing a job you would like in the future).

April 26: Council Work party
8:30 am - 12:30 pm
We will meet at the Camp Fire Council to work and help clean up the Council for the Grand Council Fire. All parents are encouraged to participate with their child. Wear clothes to work in, closed toe shoes with socks, work gloves, garden tools, suncreen.

Lunch will be provided by the Horizon club (high school age) members.

Even if you can't stay for the entire time, please consider coming by for a least on hour. All hands are welcome!

April 28: Group Ceremonial
6:45 - 8:15 pm
The end of the Camp Fire year is fast approaching. Before Grand Council Fire, we will have a ceremonial for our group in the auditorium at the school we meet at. Members should wear full uniform (white shirt, blue vest, dark blue bottoms). Individual names and symbolgrams will be presented.

May 4: Grand Council Fire
7 - 9 pm (approx end time)
Meet at the Camp flagpole (in the back camping area) no later than 6:15 pm.
Members MUST be in full uniform. Please make sure to have all awards (patches, beads) attached to vest before this date.

This is a very special night for our members. They will presented with the Fire Maker award. They also will be presented with their new leather collars as they enter the Discovery level. Parent participation is required as the parent will place the collar on their child.

Recommended for anyone who attends GCF:
* Closed-toe shoes (no sandals, flip-flops or high heels)
* FLASHLIGHT!!
* Jacket
* Blanket
* Camera
* Cell phone must be silenced

May 16-17: Spring Campout
FAMILY EVENT
We will camp in tents, cook over the fire, have activities and a camp fire with songs & other fun stuff. Siblings may attend as long as parents attend also. On Saturday morning, Camp Fire will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 - 11:00 a.m. We can wake up Saturday morning to a hot breakfast and the Fire Dept is doing the cooking! Tickets for the Breakfast will be available soon!
